Tougen Noodles Salt Free Vegetable Noodles-Tomato 250g

We have created a special product with a firm and chewy texture, adding cyclic oligosaccharides(*) to achieve a sophisticated taste for adults. The cooking time is slightly longer, around 4 to 5 minutes.

(*) Cyclic Oligosaccharides
There are several types of oligosaccharides, but the one we use is cyclic oligosaccharides. Cyclic oligosaccharides, also known as cyclodextrins, are oligosaccharides in which glucose is linked in a cyclic structure of 6 to 8 units. Cyclic oligosaccharides are not used as sweeteners, but rather for purposes such as stabilizing and improving the quality of products. It is a very safe food used for stabilizing volatile components in coffee and flavorings, stabilizing easily decomposable components in powdered wasabi, improving the hygroscopicity of powdered products, and removing bitterness or unpleasant odors in beverages.

Cooking Instructions for Vegetable Somen (Japanese Noodles):

1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add the vegetable somen noodles (200g, serving for 2 people). For soup-based noodles, around 150g (2 servings) is recommended as they absorb some of the soup.
2. Immediately use chopsticks to submerge the noodles and gently separate them to prevent sticking. Cook the noodles for the recommended time indicated on the package (around 4.5 minutes for regular type, 3 minutes for high-quality type). For stir-fried noodles or noodles in soup, cook them slightly shorter.
3. Once the noodles are cooked, drain them using a sieve or colander.
4. If serving cold, rinse the noodles quickly under cold water to tighten them, then plate them. For stir-fried noodles or noodles in soup, serve them while still warm. Our product is salt-free, so you can use it as it is.
